Terms

The short version: 98 seeds helps you find out whether people want your idea. Be honest on your pages, treat the people who answer you well, and don't use the app to hurt anyone.

1. Who can use 98 seeds

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • 98 seeds is invite-only. You join with an invite code from an existing member or from us. Each code works once. Members who join get codes of their own to share, and earn more when friends join.
  • One account per person. Keep your sign-in links to yourself.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with a one-time email link or with Google.
  • You're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else got in, tell us from Settings → Tell us.

3. Your ideas and pages

  • What you write stays yours.
  • You let us store, show and copy it only as needed to run 98 seeds: saving your workspace, showing your published page at 98seeds.com/s/your-idea and its link preview, listing it on Top projects unless you switch listing off, and sending the needed text to Anthropic's Claude when you press one of Pip's written-answer buttons.
  • Published pages are public. Anyone with the link can open them, listed pages also appear on the public Top projects page, and each page has a plain-text version AI assistants can read. Pages are kept out of search engines.
  • Your page shows the name you give as its maker.
  • Only import pages you have the right to use.

4. What you may not publish or do

  • Anything illegal, or that helps someone break the law.
  • Scams or false claims, including saying a product exists, works or has customers when it doesn't.
  • Asking visitors for money, passwords, card or bank numbers, government ID numbers or health details.
  • Offers to invest, loans, crypto or securities offerings, or gambling.
  • Someone else's work, brand or private information without their permission, or pretending to be another person or company.
  • Harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, or anything involving minors in a harmful way.
  • Pages aimed at children under 13.
  • Malware, phishing, spam, or trying to break, overload or get around 98 seeds (including its invite codes and limits).

We may hide or remove a page, or close an account, that breaks these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you why.

5. People who answer your page

When someone signs up, reserves, answers or asks for a call on your page, what they type (like their email) goes to you. If you use it, you agree to:

  • Use it only to follow up about that idea.
  • Never sell it, share it, or add people to unrelated lists.
  • Stop contacting anyone who asks you to, and delete their details if they ask.
  • Follow the privacy and anti-spam laws that apply to you.

You, not 98 seeds, are responsible for how you use what people send you, and for any promise your page makes to them (for example, emailing people who reserve when your product is ready: 98 seeds doesn't send that email for you).

6. Money

  • Nothing in 98 seeds costs money while it's invite-only, and there's nowhere to enter a card.
  • A "reserve" or pre-order on a page is a reservation only. No payment is taken.
  • Plans and Boost are coming soon. When plans launch, your first 2 ideas stay free. We'll tell you before anything costs money, and nothing is charged without you choosing it.

7. Pip, your guide

  • Most of Pip's guidance comes from plain rules. Three buttons (Sharpen with Pip, Summarize, Ask Pip) use Anthropic's Claude to write a reply, up to a daily limit.
  • Pip can be wrong. Check anything important yourself before you act on it.

8. Not professional advice

  • Nothing in 98 seeds, including Pip, Lessons, templates and examples, is legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. For those questions, talk to a qualified professional.

9. The app as it is

  • 98 seeds is a new, invite-only app. Features may change, pause or go away.
  • We work to keep your data safe, but we can't promise the app will always be available or error-free. You can download your sign-ups any time from Inbox as a CSV file.
  • 98 seeds is provided "as is", without promises beyond what the law requires.
  • To the extent the law allows, 98 seeds isn't responsible for indirect or lost-profit losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (today, nothing).

10. Deleting your data and leaving

  • You can stop using 98 seeds any time.
  • Want everything deleted? Write to us from Settings → Tell us, and we'll remove your account, your ideas and pages, and the responses they collected. We aim to do this within 30 days.
  • Not a member, or gave your email on a page made with 98 seeds? Email privacy@98seeds.com and we'll delete it within 30 days.

11. Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms. For big changes, we'll tell members in the app before they apply. The date at the top shows the latest version.

12. Disputes

  • These terms follow the laws of New York, USA. If something goes wrong, email us first and we'll try to sort it out.
